YOLANDA RODRIGUEZ

Co-Founder

Yolanda was born and raised in Watsonville. She went to Watsonville High School and graduated in 2016. She is a recent first generation college graduate from UC Santa Cruz. She is currently working as a College Facilitator for the Watsonville High EAOP Program through UC Santa Cruz. Her job is to increase access and opportunity to post-secondary education to underserved students by providing a number of direct services supporting students and families on the college-going pathway through tutoring, mentoring, academic planning and counseling leadership training, test preparation, and college awareness and enrichment. She is also working in a Social Psychology Research Lab through UC Santa Cruz. In her next year(s), she hopes to attend graduate school. With a Master’s in School Counseling, she will have the skills and knowledge necessary to continue helping underrepresented students to navigate the diverse challenges they must overcome to succeed in school.
